–The Alliance police union, supported by Unsa Police, called for a meeting on Monday to protest against the indictment, in particular for homicide, of the police officer who killed two people on April 24 in Paris. A gathering criticized by part of the profession.–
“Is it for police violence?” The question comes from four teenagers, who find themselves by chance in the middle of a few hundred police unionists, in front of the Saint-Michel fountain in Paris (5th arrondissement), this Monday noon. The second professional organization of the Ministry of the Interior, Alliance Police nationale, called for a rally against the examination of an agent in the Pont-Neuf affair, qualified in a leaflet as “victim of the justice system”. On April 24, shortly before midnight, during a check on the Ile de la Cité, this official opened fire with his assault rifle on a car which threatened him and his colleagues, according to their version, killing the driver and a passenger, wounding another. It was a few hundred meters from the scene of the tragedy that the union demonstration took place, supported by the third union of the ministry, Unsa Police, but far from being unanimous in the profession.
