A true icon of the Strasbourg Racing Club, Dimitri Lienard will be free from any contract at the end of this 2020/2021 season and that like eight of his teammates (Kawashima, Aaneba, Lala, Williams, Koné, Carole, Saadi, Zohi). The Strasbourg community is free to be able to engage with any other club this winter. Several clubs are already giving him soft eyes, but Dimitri Lienard’s priority is indeed the Racing Club de Strasbourg.
Whatever the offers and whatever the amounts, Dimitri Lienard wants to end this season in the best possible way. “I would never do anything behind Marc Keller’s back” the player told us.
Arrived at Racing in 2013, the native of Belfort quickly won the hearts of lovers of Racing. While his future in Alsace is written in dotted lines, it is not certain that a large part of Strasbourg supporters would welcome a possible departure of their “darling”. As a reminder, in 2018 a petition was set up for Racing to extend Dimitri Lienard’s contract. Several thousand fans had also signed this petition before seeing Dim ‘extend his contract for two more years.
