Illegitimate son
In this sequel, Akeem (Murphy) is about to be crowned King of Zamunda. When it turns out that he apparently has a previously unknown son named Lavelle, who lives in the New York borough of Queens, the new regent sets off again for the American city to find his unknown offspring.
Familiar faces
Arsenio Hall is there again as his servant and friend Semmi. Wesley Snipes plays General Izzi, the ruler of the neighboring country of Zamunda, which sounds like a villain role. As more stars are Jermaine Fowler, Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan, KiKi Layne, Shari Headley and James Earl Jones is part of the party.
Trailer number 2 then shows us more details and we learn that the illegitimate son is coming to Zamunda.
