William and Catherine chose a photo taken on a sunny summer day for their holiday greetings, in which they are seen together with all three of their children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Five of the Royal Family walk hand in hand along the route. On one side is dad William and his eldest son George walking in his arms, on the other is mum Catherine with little Louis in her arms. But in the middle of her is Charlotte, holding both of her brothers by the hand.
The royal children are dressed comfortably and casually to enjoy a day in the countryside in the great outdoors. All little Cambridges have short sleeved shirts and shorts. Parents are also dressed casually – in jeans, which society does not see so often.
The Prince of Wales’ family walk was captured by photographer Matt Porteos, who has taken Christmas photos of the famous couple on several occasions, most recently in 2020.
Porteos also captured other important moments in the royal couple’s life.
Matt Porteos is also known as an in demand wedding photographer. In 2019 he was commissioned to photograph the wedding of British singer Elia Goulding and Caspar Jopling.
Fans of the British royal family enthusiastically welcomed the new Cambridge photo. “Such a beautiful family photo. I love the Prince and Princess of Wales and their little ones,” one fan raved. “They are such a beautiful and lovely family. Bless the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children,” said another.
“The monarchy is in very good hands with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The Prince and Princess of Wales can be very proud of the trio,” added a third. A fourth said: “Those kids, they look so grown up. Lovely family.”
The fifth echoed: “What a beautiful family the Prince and Princess of Wales have created. They look so happy.
William and Catherine’s children are currently in the last week of school before the Christmas break. The Cambridges are expected to travel to the late Queen’s Sandringham for holiday this year, where they will join King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla and the rest of the family.
Charles and Camilla have already released their official Christmas card. They did it very timely – already on December 11th. For this greeting, the couple chose a photo taken during the Braemar Games in September this year, shortly before the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
