Sweden’s Prime Minister was referred to as “Carlos Lofven Kristersson”.
On Wednesday, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson visited the Ukrainian capital Kiev. There he met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
Following the meeting, the duo held a press conference where Zelenskyj thanked the Swedish Prime Minister for the support they have received so far after Russia went to war almost a year ago.
According to SVT, who mentioned the matter first, the trip was under great secrecy. Thus, there were no Swedish media present.
But the Palestinian image agency APAimages was on the other hand. And they had some trouble naming the Swedish prime minister.
How well known Kristersson is to the agency is somewhat uncertain, but much can indicate that they do not know very well who he is.
Because in the caption that was sent out afterwards, Sweden’s prime minister is called “Carlos Lofven Kristersson”.
In the image bank, there were a total of 31 images where Kristersson is referred to as “Carlos Lofven”.
Among other things, the British newspaper The Guardian used the image with the crazy caption. Afterwards, however, it has been rectified.
SVT speculates whether the photo agency has mixed up Carl Gustaf, the former prime minister Stefan Löfven and Ulf Kristersson.
