Tuesday, January 30, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson will receive French President Emmanuel Macron in Rosenbad. The president and his wife Brigitte Macron have been invited to Sweden by HM the King. During the state visit, the government is represented by several ministers.
On Tuesday, January 30, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and President Emmanuel Macron will hold discussions in Rosenbad. In connection with the deliberations, the Prime Minister and the President will sign a partnership between Sweden and France. The Prime Minister and the President hold a joint press conference at 14.05, which is broadcast live on the government’s website. The press conference is interpreted simultaneously in Swedish, French and English.
The Prime Minister and the President then go to Karlberg Castle to participate in a security policy round table discussion, in which the King also participates. At Karlberg Castle, the Prime Minister and President Emmanuel Macron each give a longer speech to cadets and invited guests. Even the king speaks. Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson will also attend a dinner at the castle on Tuesday evening as well as a reception hosted by the presidential couple in Lund on Wednesday 31 January.
Other government ministers participating in the state visit are Minister of Energy and Business Ebba Busch, Minister of Foreign Affairs Tobias Billström, Minister of Education Lotta Edholm, Minister of Social Services Camilla Waltersson Grönvall, Minister of Defense Pål Jonson, Minister of Aid and Foreign Trade Johan Forssell, Minister of Education Mats Persson and Minister of Culture Parisa Liljestrand.
