Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš (JV) has been in contact with a person infected with Covid-19, therefore he has found himself in self-isolation.
The prime minister announced it on the microblogging site Twitter on Tuesday night.
“I have been in contact with a person who has developed symptoms typical of Covid-19. Until I get the test result, I have gone to self-isolation and will work remotely to reduce the risk to people’s health, ”he said in a statement.

Previously, Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs (JV) had to be in self-isolation after contacting Slovenian Foreign Minister Anže Logar, who was diagnosed with Covid-19 after a visit to the Baltic States.
Former Minister of Environmental Protection and Regional Development Juris Pūce (AP) also had to be in self-isolation.
