The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development, has extended, until December 31, the opportunity to access loans of up to 200,000 euros from the Financial Instrument “EAFRD”; included in the Castilla y León Rural Development Program.
The budgetary allocations will be destined to increase the liquidity required by the basic activities of the companies of farmers, ranchers and the agri-food and forestry industry. The loan application must be submitted to financial entities linked to “EAFRD” and the Ministry indicates that such applications will be resolved in less than a month.
Within the loan catalog of the Financial Instrument, their financing will have a duration of between 3 and 20 years. In addition, the specific loans to cover production and operating expenses (working capital) will be exclusively those for a duration of three and five years.
The maximum financing of the credits will be 200,000 euros and will not be subject to the need to link it to an investment. In the words of the counselor, Jesús Julio Carnero, “the agri-food industries and farms have shown great interest in this form of support, so it is necessary to continue betting on it.”
