The Prima RFEF awaits nine clubs

The sports The preseason will begin on July 18 in the sports city of Abegondo, six weeks before the start of the competition in the 1st RFEF, the date of which is set for August 28. There are 40 clubs participating in this category, which will be divided into two groups of twenty each. Well, just over seven weeks after the ball was released, the Spanish Federation is worried because of those forty clubs, nine have not yet certified their presence at the starting line of the championship. Also, from the Real Spanish Federation of Soccer (RFEF) have already contacted several of the relegated teams at the end of the 2021-22 season to find out their willingness to return to First FEF should it be confirmed they are lame. The group in which Deportivo and the Galician teams are included is interested, the proof is that the Federation has established contact with Zamora and Talavera, among others, so that they prepare a possible return to the First Division.

The main cause for which several clubs find themselves in difficulty is of an economic nature; but there is another reason, which would affect the dissident entities with the RFEF. Although no names have been revealed, there is evidence in the Federation that there are many who have problems paying salaries -there can be nothing outstanding as of July 31st-. In large part, the main responsibility lies with the Federation itself, which about a year ago had communicated to the clubs that each would receive around one million euros for television rights, the reality is that the amounts they finally received are between 250,000 and 350,000 euros. A substantial drop that has damaged many clubs, given that there were several who had agreed contracts with that million that they would never have received.

Three weeks ago, the RFEF decided to publish a tender for First RFEF clubs to have an advance of 12 million euros, with a maximum of 400,000 euros per team and without interest, money that comes from a Contingency Fund, recently created by the Federation yes. “With these 12 million euros which will now be earmarked for advance payments, to be repaid between the next four and eight seasons, depending on the case, the RFEF provides financial oxygen to the category, demonstrating its commitment and its willingness to L’ The experimental aspect of this first edition can be gradually consolidated”, explained the FEF in the announcement. The body chaired by Luis Rubiales also specified that these amounts “must serve to preferentially address the full payment of the salaries of all players in the category” .

This loan is not well received by a number of clubs, especially those considered rebels who created the Association of National Third Category Clubs (Dux Internacional de Madrid, Unión Deportiva San Sebastián de los Reyes SAD, CF Rayo Majadahonda SAD Real Balompédica Linense, Linares Deportivo and Real Unión de Irún). These clubs intend to “defend the commercial interests of their members”, which is why they are proposing a series of measures and greater participation in the organization of the competition. From the RFEF they tried to stop the rebellion by demanding that the clubs dissolve said association or they would not receive aid or they would not be able to compete next season in this competition. Andreu Camps conveyed it to the representatives of these clubs at a meeting held three weeks ago. However, their response was to ask for an improvement in the organization of the category, both from a sporting and economic point of view.

If the threat continues, the presence of these six teams in the First RFEF is in jeopardy; To these, moreover, we should add others who are facing serious problems to pay their salary until the end of July. With the exception of Real Unión, all other clubs are integrated into the western group, which also includes Deportivo.

Mosquera, Alcorcón and Trigueros in la Leonesa

The former sportsman Pedro Mosquera yesterday became a player of Alcorcón, a team that has just been relegated from the Second Division and will be rivals of Deportivo during the season which starts on 28 August. The midfielder from A Coruña was a fundamental part of the Juventus formation during his stay in the First Division in 2015, where he arrived from Elche. In 2019 he severed his ties with the Huesca studio, where he remained until June. Another former blanquiazul, Pablo Trigueros, will also be a rival in the new season, since the defender has committed to Cultural Leonesa.
