This Saturday, June 4, 2022 marks the great return of the Pridethe 25th to Lille (Nord), and the program is loaded! The streets of the city center will vibrate with the colors of the rainbow, represented on the flags of the 10 to 15,000 people expected. The organizing team lists, for Lille newsthe highlights of the event, where information, awareness and, of course, moments of celebration will be combined.
A village with DJ, food-truck, associations…
Note that before the big launch of the festivities, a before “Tiki Electro House” is organized at Privilège (2, rue Royale in Lille), Friday June 3, from 6 p.m. For the rest, the starting signal is given from 11:30 a.m., Saturday June 4, Place de la République, where the village Pride awaits the audience. Open until 7 p.m., it will bring together LGBTQI+ association stands, shops, beer and soft drinks bars, a foot-truck and, to set the mood, a stage with artists. A DJ will be mixing there from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Speeches, in particular from local elected officials, are planned shortly before 2 p.m.
At the start of the afternoon, place for the long-awaited pride marchwith the float parade. The Fiertés Lille Pride team announces that they will be a little less numerous than usual, and that the course will be slightly narrowed. But not enough to hinder the general enthusiasm, since it will still be six floats – two small ones, and four large ones – which will wander through the streets of Lille.
The 2 km walking route in the city center
For the course, the appointment is given rue du Molinel, at 2:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The convoy will then take Rue de Tournai, pass Place de la Gare Lille-Flandres, go up Rue Faidherbe and Rue Nationale, before turning Rue de l’Hôpital Militaire, the end point of the route. In all, this represents 2 km, or 1 km less than previous editions.
The evening promises to be no less dazzling, with a disco aperitif at Bayard (153, rue Nationale) from 5 p.m., before THE highlight of Pride, at the Stairway nightclub (18, rue de la Halle). For those who could not honor this Saturday program, or for others who are not afraid of two festive evenings in a row, do it again on Sunday. Le Privilège hosts the closing evening of the Pride from 5 p.m., and the Radio club (60, avenue du Peuple belge), theafter– closing from midnight to 6 a.m. Yes, it’s a chance that Monday is a holiday…
Finally, the organizers are still looking for about fifteen volunteers for the day on Saturday. It is advisable to write to [email protected]
