Hoteliers feverishly calculate new ones, higher prices of accommodation due to the drastic rise in electricity prices, and some have already raised prices by 30 to 45 levs, reports the Telegraph.
Some are still waiting because they rely on state aid and do not want to burden consumers. However, others have already raised prices, exhausting due to the multiplied by three electricity costs. The average price increase for the winter season will be 15%, predicts the head of the Institute for Assessment and Analysis in Tourism Rumen Draganov.
In the Plovdiv secondary village 30 to 45 leva has risen in price the night in the two-star hotels both because of the high electricity bills and because of the outflow of tourists because of COVID-19.
If before the pandemic the night in a double room cost about 65 leva, then the same conditions are now traded on a popular site for reservations at prices from 105 to 125 leva. According to small hotel owners, the rise was due to higher electricity prices, higher inflation and a lack of tourists for months during the pandemic.
