According to the last report of the PSB Handel Group, prices of building materials in December 2021 compared to the corresponding month of 2020 increased by an average of 24 percent.
The increases were recorded in all 20 product groups. And so – as calculated – OSB boards went up 63 percent., thermal insulation by 57%, dry construction by 42%, roofs and gutters by 24%.
On the other hand, materials from the “walls and chimneys” group increased by 23 percent, installations, heating – by 19 percent, waterproofing by 17 percent, and materials from the garden and hobby group by 16 percent.
In December, woodwork was 16 percent more expensive, and finishing materials by 14 percent. The prices of tools, in turn, increased by 14 percent. The same increase (14%) was recorded in the group of tiles, bathrooms, kitchens, and also in the group surrounding the house. In turn, the prices of materials from the lighting and electrics segment went up by 13 percent. What’s next? Household appliances were more expensive by 11 percent, and construction chemicals, paints, varnishes – by 10 percent. The prices of decorations as well as cement and lime increased relatively the least, i.e. by 9%, i.e. by 7%.
