Sony talked a lot about PlayStation 5 during its last event, notably by focusing on its line up and on the design of its models and accessories. However, there are still some unknowns in the equation, such as its selling price and the date when we can take advantage of its generosity. The answers to these questions could fall in a few minutes.
At least that’s what Roberto Serrano said in one of his last posts on Twitter.

Not content with confirming the holding of a press conference this evening at 9:30 p.m., the leaker also indicates in this famous tweet that the event will be an opportunity for the brand to unveil the public price of the two PS5s.

The PlayStation 5 mentioned this evening?
Because indeed, for this new generation, Sony has decided to decline its console in two different models. Similar in all respects, the latter will only have the difference that their optical drive. Only the most expensive model will be equipped with a 4K Blu-ray player.
The second will indeed be devoid of reader and it will therefore bet everything on dematerialization. A strategy borrowed by Microsoft with the Xbox One S All Digital Edition.
But Sony should not only discuss the prices of its PlayStation 5 at this event. Roberto Serrano also expects the firm to reveal the date when its new consoles will be available … but also the date when we can pre-order them.
For the moment, all we know is that the PS5 will be released at the end of the year, as Sony has not yet announced any date.

Between 499 and 399 € depending on the model?
If the Japanese brand has remained fairly discreet until then, rumors have been rife for several weeks. The latest news, we should expect a sale price between 399 and 499 €. Or € 100 difference between the two models.
Assuming this information is correct, the PlayStation 5 should therefore not cost us more than the PS4 when it is released. However, and still according to the latest corridor noise to date, Microsoft could go even further by offering the Xbox Series X at € 399 and the Xbox Series S (which has not yet been announced) at € 199. Be careful, however, because this time, the two consoles would be quite different and the cheapest model would therefore skip 4K.
