The price of used housing increased by 0.1% in Galicia, according to the idealista portal

The price of used houses increased in August in Galicia by 0.1% compared to the previous month, according to the real estate portal Idealist. It does this in the same percentage as in Navarre, Euskadi, Catalonia and Aragon.

In the country as a whole, the the price of used housing in Spain increased by 0.4% in August compared to the previous month, settling at 1,896 euros per square meter, which represents the sixth consecutive monthly increase and a year-over-year increase of 3.9%.

Despite this new increase, the data from the real estate portal prove it the price of houses is still 7.6% below the historic high price of houses in Spainregistered in June 2007. Among the autonomous communities, the Community of Madrid and the Balearic Islands (+ 1.4%), lead the increases, followed by the Valencian Community (+ 0.7%), Andalusia (+ 0.4%) , Navarre, Euskadi, Catalonia, Galicia and Aragon (+ 0.1% in the five regions).

Cost per square meter

The Balearic Islands, with 3,542 euros per square meter, are the most expensive range, followed by the Community of Madrid, with 3,123 euros per square meter. Both regions reached their highest price during the month of August since idealista set records.

On the opposite side of the table are Castilla-La Mancha (890 euros per square meter), Extremadura (933 euros) and the Region of Murcia (1,093 euros), which are the cheapest communities.
