The reason is simple: the older a piece is, the more unique and unavailable it becomes and the higher its value will be. That is why, if you had access to even older lire of the last generation, perhaps for a gift from a grandfather or not only, then yes you could really hope for a treasure.

Discounted at a special price, this can be purchased by collectors interested in the very high figure of 8.740 euro. In short: imagine the return you could have if you discovered that you have a similar one in your home, perhaps due to the inheritance of uncles or grandparents.

The banknote in question is dated May 23, 1915, belongs to the reign of Vittorio Emanuele III, and was printed by the Bank of Italy in Rome. In addition to a valuable banknote, it is therefore considered a real one historical artifact.
