The price of the Saudi riyal witnessed stability in Egypt against the pound during the middle of today’s trading, Sunday, January 15, 2023, at the Central Bank, government and private banks, and money changers, amid anticipation of the parallel market.
The calm of the weekend in the Egyptian exchange markets continued on Sunday morning, with banks returning to their normal dealings, and after a week of severe fluctuations in the Egyptian currency, which reached 32.5 pounds against the dollar.
The price of the Saudi riyal in Egypt
The importance of the Saudi riyal in the Egyptian exchange market is due to its association with the seasons of Umrah and Hajj for Egyptians, as well as the intertwined trade relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
The price of the Saudi riyal settled today in Egypt on the Central Bank screen during Sunday morning trading, at a level of 7.85 pounds for purchase and 7.88 pounds for sale, which are the same prices as yesterday, Saturday.
The average price of the riyal today in exchange companies was about 7.82 pounds for purchase and 8.17 pounds for sale.
The stability of the price of the Saudi riyal
The price of the Saudi riyal at the National Bank of Egypt stabilized at 7.84 pounds for purchase and 7.86 pounds for sale, without any change from yesterday’s prices, Saturday.
The price of the riyal stabilized at the beginning of Banque Misr’s trading today, at 7.84 pounds for purchase, and 7.86 pounds for sale.
And the price of the Saudi riyal stabilized today, Sunday morning, at the Commercial International Bank CIB (the largest private bank in Egypt), at 7.82 pounds for purchase, and 7.88 pounds for sale.
