JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – Apple has just announced the launch latest gadgets they Iphone 12 on Wednesday (14/10/2020).
In its release, Apple also announced prices for their latest handsets. Iphone 12 mini Prices start at 699 US dollars (around Rp.10.3 million), while the iPhone 12 is sold at a slightly higher price, starting at 799 US dollars (around Rp. 11.8 million).
But as it turns out, the price that Apple announced at the launch event turned out to be “incompatible” the price of the iPhone 12 which is sold in the market. As a result, some prospective buyers admit to feeling “cheated” by Apple’s marketing tricks.
Referring to the price list listed on the Apple.com site, iPhone 12 Mini and the “regular” iPhone 12 is written at a price of US $ 699 (Rp.10.3 million) and US $ 799 (Rp.11.8 million) respectively.
However, this price is the price of bundling the iPhone 12 and 12 Mini with cellular operators in the US, namely AT&T and Verizon, where the bundling value is 30 US dollars (around Rp.400,000).
The value of the bundling package was later discounted by Apple and both mobile operators, resulting in a price of 699 US dollars (Rp 10.3 million) and 799 US dollars (Rp 11.8 million).
