The price of the dollar sets a record against the lira

The dollar exchange rate has set a new record, the first in the history of the Lebanese pound, exceeding 40,300 pounds.

The dollar exchange rate went up on the black market today, Wednesday 19 October, by around £ 200-250 at once. This continues its upward trajectory for weeks.

The dollar price today fluctuates between 40250 pounds and 40350 pounds, in the absence of positive indications to curb the dollar’s rise and push it to fall against the pound.

Yesterday, Tuesday, the volume of trading on the Sayrafa platform was 60 million US dollars, at a rate of 30,100 Lebanese pounds per dollar.
