The dollar against the pound rose today, Monday, in 7 banks during trading, compared to the level of the morning, while the price has stabilized in Al Baraka Bank.
According to central bank data today, Monday, the dollar’s exchange rate against the pound recorded £ 19.46 for the purchase and £ 19.54 for the sale, to record its highest level in history against the pound. .
This is the first move in the dollar’s price against the pound since the Egyptian Central Bank’s decision last Thursday to raise the mandatory reserve ratio of bank deposits to 18% instead of 14%.
The decision to increase the reserve requirement came with his decision to set interest rates for the third consecutive time at the Monetary Policy Committee meeting at 11.25% for deposits and 12.25% for loans. .
