Romania’s Renault-owned Dacia has announced the price of its Spring EV electric crossover. The new electric car turned out to be almost comparable in value to the Sandero petrol hatchback.
According to the company, today Dacia Spring is the most affordable electric car on the European market.
At the time of the announcement of the Dacia Spring compact electric crossover, its European price was expected to not exceed 20,000 euros. According to official data, the situation is even better – the starting version of the model will cost customers only 16,990 euros.
In France, taking into account government incentives for new electric cars, the Romanian crossover costs 12,403 euros.

In addition to the standard version for 16,990 euros, the electric crossover Dacia Spring will be available in the Comfort Plus version for 18,490 euros, which will have a 7-inch touch screen, rear view camera, rear parking sensors and metallic paint and special design with orange accents in the exterior and interior.
Pre-orders will start on March 20, and deliveries to customers will begin this summer.

It turns out, however, that the new electric crossover is one of the slowest cars on the market. The compact electric motor (45 hp, 125 Nm of torque) accelerates the car from 0 to 100 km / h in 19.1 seconds and from 80 to 120 km / h in 26.2 seconds. The maximum speed is 125 km / h
A 26.8 kWh lithium-ion battery gives the Dacia Spring EV a range of 225 to 305 km on a single charge. Using eco mode will increase mileage by 10 percent. After activating it, engine power will be reduced to 31 hp. And the maximum speed will not exceed 100 km / h.
It takes 14 hours to fully charge the battery from a normal household outlet. Using a special Wallbox charging system will reduce the time to five hours. /auto.blitz.bg
