SEMARANG, KOMPAS.com – Non-subsidized LPG seller in Kota Semarang got a buyer protest because the price is expensive. This reduces sales.
An LPG seller in Ngaliyan, Semarang City, Nanda, said, “Until now, the average increase in non-subsidized LPG has reached Rp 25,000 in all sizes.
“Yes, if there is an adjustment, there must be an adjustment,” he explained when met on Wednesday (9/3/2022).

According to him, the increase in LPG prices from Pertamina has occurred since two months ago. “Consumers are angry with us. They don’t have access to Pertamina,” he said.
He as an agent only made price adjustments from Pertamina. If the price goes up from the center, at the agent level, the price will also go up.
“If the price goes up from Pertamina, we will definitely increase the price. So we can’t raise the price ourselves,” he said.
The increase in the price of non-subsidized gas has reduced the number of customers. Many have turned to subsidized LPG or melon gas.
“Customers are decreasing, because the price is increasing, you can conclude for yourself, well. However, this is still a 3 kg product because it’s melon, “he explained.
In one week usually he can send as many as 150 gas cylinders to agents and residents. Although experiencing a reduction, the amount is not significant.
“If it’s reduced, sure, but not much. In my opinion, the people here are adults,” he said.
According to him, many residents of Semarang City already know that melon type LPG is a subsidized gas provided for the poor.
“In addition, subsidized gas is also safer,” he explained.
