The price of gasoline in Russia again broke a record.

The price of gasoline AI-95 has updated its historical maximum and set a record again. Reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the data of the St. Petersburg International Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange (SPIMEX).

Following the auction on Monday, June 29, the price reached 58.174 thousand rubles per ton (with delivery in the European part of Russia according to the national index). Compared with previous indicator, the cost rose 0.4 percent.

Price increase goes on from the middle of the month. The experts explain this is a shortage of gasoline AI-95, which has developed on the market, and demand from gas stations and traders.

Commenting on the increase in wholesale prices, the Russian authorities assurethat this will not affect retail. According to the Deputy Minister of Energy of Russia Pavel Sorokin, there is no fuel shortage in the country, and the companies are fulfilling their production plans.
