KRISTIANSAND: The management of the company now hopes for more passengers so that ticket prices do not have to be increased due to the record high diesel prices.

This writes Agderposten Saturday. To the newspaper, chairman of the board Tom Roger Øydne in Konkurrenten says this:

– It actually corresponds to the fact that with today’s passenger numbers we have to increase the price by 20-25 kroner.

The diesel price per liter is now six kroner more than budgeted, which gives Konkurrenten.no an extra cost of 1100 kroner on the round trip Kristiansand-Oslo.

This gives a loss of 280,000 kroner a month, and means that the company needs three extra passengers per departure to compensate. If not, the ticket price must be increased by 20 – 25 kroner. The price today is 495 kroner one way Kristiansand – Oslo.

Konkurrenten.no’s general manager Sigurd-Åge Engamo says to Agderposten:

– We still experience that bus traffic is affected by the pandemic. If it drops the roof and the number of passengers goes up, there is hardly a need to increase the ticket price.

The ferry company Fjord Line informed The Friend of the Fatherland Thursday that they introduce fuel surcharges on their sailings to Denmark.

The supplement was introduced on the same day, and a supplement entails a road of NOK 150 per car and NOK 50 per passenger.

Color Line also stated that they still do not introduce fuel surcharges.
