With the development of the times, nowadays a lot of smart phones are priced at affordable prices. Including one of them is a folding screen cellphone.
If previously Samsung released its first folding screen cellphone, Xiaomi didn’t want to be outdone by launching its first folding screen phone. Xiaomi has just released its first foldable screen phone which is named Mix Fold.
This first folding screen cellphone was only released after Xiaomi previously released the Mi 11 Ultra. The price of this phone is cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2.
This phone is equipped with a Snapdragon 88 chipset coupled with LPDDR5 RAM up to 16 GB. This phone is also equipped with a large enough internal memory, namely 256 GB and 512 GB.
For the screen, Mix Fold equipped with two screens. For the outer screen, the Mix Fold uses an AMOLED panel measuring 6.52 inches with a resolution of 840 x 2,520 pixels and an aspect ratio of 27: 9.
While the other screen still carries an AMOLED panel, but has a size of 8.01 inches. It has a resolution of 2,480 x 1,860 pixels, 4: 3 aspect ratio, supports Dolby vision and HDR10 +.
For those who have a hobby of taking pictures, this phone is equipped with three cameras that are mounted on the outside. The main sensor is 108 MP which is combined with an ultra-wide 13 lens. In addition, it is an 8 MP camera with a liquid lens that can switch between 30x telephoto and macro.
Xiaomi also installed an image processing chip called Surge C1 on this phone. The Surge C1 chip is an image processing chip developed by Xiaomi in-house. This chip is useful for running the 3A algorithm – Auto Focus, and Auto White balance – in a way to save power.
For a music listening experience, Xiaomi pairs four speakers with a Harman Kardon touch. The audio is claimed to be 40% kicker than the predecessor speaker Mi 10 Pro. Apart from that, Xiaomi is also developing a special 3D audio algorithm to create a fantastic experience.
The Mix Fold is equipped with a Butterfly cooling system that combines a large air chamber, thermal gel and a layer of graphite sheets. Overall, the Mix Fold offers a total heat dissipation area of 22,583 sq mm.
Finally, Xiaomi has a 5,020 mAh battery with 67W fast charging technology. Xiaomi promises that in just 37 minutes the battery will be fully charged.
The standard version of this phone has a Gorilla Glass back with a ceramic texture. There is also a ceramic special edition which has a black ceramic back with laser engraving, plus a gold center frame and volume knobs.
Xiaomi Mix Fold starting to be ordered in China, Tuesday (30/3), the first unit will be available on April 16, 2021.

- Mix Fold 12GB / 256GB for 9,999 yuan (Rp.22.2 million)
- Mix Fold 12GB / 512GB for 10,999 yuan (Rp.24.4 million)
- Mix Fold 16GB / 512GB for 12,999 (IDR 28.8 million)
The price of the Mix Fold is much cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 which is priced at IDR 33,888 million.
