The PRI-PAN alliance is the end of ideologies; it would be desirable for them to disappear, says Juan Villoro

The federal electoral process of 2020 and 2021 began on September 7 with the precedent of being the “largest and most complex” in history with 95 million Mexicans called to vote and in which 500 deputies will be elected, among other positions of the 65 legislatures, 15 governorships, 1,063 deputies from 30 local congresses and 1,926 mayoralties in 30 states.

Mexico City, December 7 (However) .- The writer Juan Villoro considered that the alliance between parties Institutional Revolutionary (PRI), National Action (PAN) and the Democratic Revolution (PRD) facing the 2021 elections, is the end of congruence and ideologies in the country, so it would be ideal that said parties will disappear.

“In some cases they are planning to add to everything they can, it seems to me that this is the end of congruence, the end of ideologies, those parties don’t mean anything anymore,” he said during an interview with Álvaro Delgado and Alejandro Páez Varela in the program “Los Periodistas” of La Octava.

He said that such parties are an example of kleptocretia in the country, and that they have only dedicated themselves to “stealing the country.”

“The PAN, the PRI, are an example of kleptocracy. They are criminals who have been working, stealing in Mexico, for a long time. We have had proof of this policy of the PRI for 71 years, plus the six of Peña Nieto, and 12 years of the PAN, “he added.

The Mexican writer criticized that the positions of both parties, even before their alliance, impossible to reconcile, now decide to twist them, to try to take a majority in the Chamber of Deputies.

“Now it turns out that in order to win, they can unite. Throwing a lot, simply and simply speaks of the lack of credibility of these political parties, that it would be desirable for them to disappear forever, “he said.

For this reason, he asked that the development of social organization would be more desirable, instead of the usual parties.

On the other hand, Villoro appreciated the work of Santiago Nieto at the head of the Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF) of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP), since, he considered, progress has been made in the fight against corruption.

In contradiction, he said that the Secretary of Culture, Alejandra Frausto, has not fulfilled her task, since she has had more failures than successes.

“There are areas that are very bad and that are causing a lot of problems for the Fourth Transformation,” he explained.

THE “GREAT ALLIANCE”, THE PRIANRD

On Saturday, the National Council of the National Action party approved going in alliance with the PRI and the PRD for the election of deputies to be held in 2021.

Marko Cortés, the national leader of the PAN, said that the militancy was consulted on the relevance of the alliance and 70 percent were in favor. In addition, a preliminary agreement was presented to establish a coalition with the PRI and PRD, in order to present common candidates for the Chamber of Deputies in at least 100 electoral districts.

The PAN would lead the coalition in 61 districts, the PRI in 53, the PRD in 44, according to the latest table presented to the PAN and quoted by the newspaper Reform.

The PAN members agreed to analyze alliances with the PRD and the PRI for the governorships of Baja California, Baja California Sur, San Luis Potosí, Tlaxcala, Zacatecas, Colima, Nayarit, Sonora, and Michoacán, as reported The universal.

The characteristic partisan bloc will try to win the dominant National Regeneration Movement (Morena), which was founded by the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, and which swept the 2018 presidential election and which dominates the Chambers of Deputies and Senators.

Marko Cortés released the news after four hours of ordinary session, where the militants assured that they will not admit profiles considered “unpresentable.”

He explained that it will be a coalition that in its clauses “will reserve the right of veto to the unpresentable, that proposes profiles that are not sold, or are frightened by power and that, in addition, sign a public commitment to defend the institutions, the democracy, freedom, the rule of law and the strengthening of states and municipalities ”.

The PAN council also authorized the signing of partial alliances with other parties, with the exception of Morena.

SEARCHING FOR ALLIANCES

Yesterday, the Free Mexico movement, headed by former President Felipe Calderón Hinojosa, offered today to hand over all its members to the National Action Party (PAN) in exchange for a series of conditions, including recognizing what caused the 2018 rupture and “restoring any damage to public image and [que] express your approval for the addition and reincorporation of the leaders and militants of Mexico Libre ”.

In 2018, Margarita Zavala Gómez del Campo, wife of Calderón Hinojosa, resigned from the PAN to compete as an independent for the Presidency of Mexico. His candidacy was a failure. He had to give it up. Since then, her husband has bitterly criticized the PAN leadership and their candidate, Ricardo Anaya Cortés. In today’s letter, he seems to suggest that Acción Nacional should apologize to Zavala Gómez del Campo.

México Libre tried to be a political party and obtain public financing. Could not. The National Electoral Institute (INE) did not give him the registration and neither did the Electoral Tribunal of the Federal Judicial Power (TEPJF) because, they agreed, he cheated. This unleashed the anger of the former president, who harshly criticized councilors and magistrates.

Among the “minimum conditions” that Free Mexico requested to join the PAN are:

“Recognize the conditions that originated the rupture in the framework of the selection process for the candidacy for the Presidency of the Republic for the 2018 electoral process, as well as build a message that restores any damage to the public image and expresses approval for the sum and incorporation of the leaders and militants of Mexico Libre ”.

In addition, the organization of Zavala and Calderón pointed out, the PAN must condemn the resolutions by which the INE and the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Power of the Federation denied the registration of Mexico Libre as a party. and consider them “contrary to reason and law.”

México Libre also conditioned Acción Nacional to become “an authentic instrument at the service of the citizenry, guaranteeing the permanent opening of its affiliation process and proscribing any attempt to hinder the sum of citizens of good faith or limit their participation, starting from recognizing the exemplary civic effort made by more than 263 thousand people who joined Mexico Libre ”.
