The prevalence of Covid-19 in the Baltics is increasing: 337 people have fallen ill in Lithuania; In Estonia – 173 – in Latvia

Another 337 people have been confirmed infected with the new coronavir virus in Lithuania last day, but no new deaths have been registered with the virus-induced disease Covid-19, Statistics Lithuania announced on Wednesday.

12,693 analyzes were performed last day, and the proportion of positive tests was 2.7%. A total of 4,140,501 analyzes were performed in Lithuania.

Another 173 people were diagnosed with the new coronavir virus in Estonia last day, but no new deaths have been reported from the Covid-19 virus-related disease, the Health Department said on Wednesday.

3172 analyzes were performed last day, thus the proportion of positive tests was 5.5%. A total of 1,606,144 tests were performed in Estonia to detect infection with the new coronavirus.

The total number of confirmed infections in Estonia has reached 132,891, and 84,816 people have been confirmed to recover.

A total of 1271 people died in Estonia with Covid-19.

The 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population, estimated by the Estonian Department of Health, has risen to 96.09.
