“The competition has an incredible history, more than one hundred and sixty years old, and is one of the absolute oldest wine shows in the country, one of the oldest in the world. As can be seen from the fact that this year we are holding the Valtice Wine Markets for the 55th time in modern history, the past, including the recent pandemic, has not always been favorable for competition.

All the more valuable is the preservation of this tradition, which is appreciated not only by winemakers, but also by the public through their extensive participation in the subsequent exhibition. This is evidenced by the fact that this year is a record in terms of the number of registered foreign wines, which gave the competition an even higher level and gave our winemakers the opportunity to compare with colleagues from different parts of the world, “said one of the organizers of Valtice Wine Markets David Šťastný. by the fact that visitors really have something to look forward to during the tastings.

The wine exhibition, where the public will be able to taste all the wines from the competition, including the champions, will take place in the newly reconstructed castle riding school in Valtice, which gives it an unforgettable atmosphere.
