Tomorrow, July 1, at An online press conference will be held at 12.15 to inform about the future development of the Joint Expeditionary Force.
The press conference will be attended by James Heappey, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Defense, and Antti Kaikkonen, Minister for Defense of Finland.
Officials will brief on the Joint Policy Planning Document signed by the Defense Ministers of the Member States of the Joint Response Force and its role in the future military activities of the Member States of the initiative.

It has already been reported that the Minister of Defense Artis Pabriks will pay a visit to Finland from June 29 to July 1, where a meeting of the Defense Ministers of the Member States of the Joint Response Force will take place.
During the visit, A. Pabriks is also scheduled to have a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Defense of Finland A. Kaikonen.
The creation of the Joint Response Force is a British initiative, the implementation of which was announced at the NATO Summit in Wales, when the defense ministers of the member states signed a memorandum of understanding on the establishment of this force. In September 2014, work began on setting up this force structure, setting tasks and objectives for the Member States.
On November 30, 2015, seven countries in Great Britain – Great Britain, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands and Norway – signed a founding agreement on the establishment of a Joint Response Force. In 2017, Finland and Sweden also joined the initiative, while Iceland joined in April this year.
