Taj El-Din said in exclusive statements to “The Seventh Day”: We are currently past the peak of the sixth wave, stressing that the last period of the sixth wave had a rise in the number of cases, and from a week to 10 days there was a decrease in the number of cases, but there are still some injuries, But it is simple to moderate, and the cases that require hospitalization are very few, and the death rate is almost non-existent or very few, and despite all this we are still taking precautionary measures, because the epidemic is still present globally, so it is necessary to continue to precaution and provide all medical supplies, as We deal with the crisis day by day and provide medicines and medical supplies.

He added: I feel happy for a conference that brings together the two most important specializations in the field of Corona, because each one in his specialty has experience, and such conferences are held to exchange experiences, continuing: During two years we have suffered from the Corona epidemic, but without a doubt the medical sector has benefited a lot from this experience, explaining that Corona It affects the digestive system and the liver, just as it affects the lung, and corona drugs affect the liver and cause an increase in liver enzymes, and there was continuous consultation between gastroenterologists, hepatologists and chest doctors.

It is reported that the Pulmo Gut conference, which is currently being held in Cairo, combines the specialization of the liver, digestive system and chest diseases, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health and Prevention Affairs, and Dr. Ashraf Hatem, former Minister of Health and Chairman of the Parliament’s Health Committee, headed by Dr. Jihan Al-Assal. Vice Chairman of the Scientific Committee to Combat Corona, and Dr. Mohamed Al-Qassas, Professor of Liver and Digestive System at Helwan Medicine.

The conference was attended by Dr. Ehab Kamal, Assistant Minister of Health for Continuing Medical Education, Dr. Mohamed Hassani, Assistant Minister of Health for Public Health Initiatives, Dr. Waheed Doss, Chairman of the National Committee to Combat Hepatitis, and Dr. Manal Hamdi El-Sayed, and Dr. Magdy El-Serafy, members of the National Committee for Virus Control.
