The President’s Health Adviser warns of laxity in Corona’s precautionary measures

Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health and Prevention Affairs and Former Minister of Health, praised the distinguished Egyptian experience in confronting the Coronavirus (Covid 19) pandemic, which was led by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, with rapid and early intervention and providing all aspects of material, institutional and human support to repel the pandemic attack since the beginning Its spread in Egypt.

Taj al-Din also praised the work to expand the umbrella of health care in the Republic, which was what was cooperated with all medical institutions, including university hospitals and Ministry of Health hospitals, which had the greatest impact on Egypt overcoming this pandemic with the least losses, as President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi allocated 100 billion pounds to support the system Medical staff in all governorates, in addition to its daily follow-up of the conditions of hospitals and intensive care units in them, the availability of devices and medicines, as well as its follow-up on the arrival of new devices designated and used to treat patients, fair distribution, monitoring the needs of isolation hospitals across the republic of medical personnel and the speed of meeting the needs, as well as his keenness to provide strategic stocks Of medicines, means of prevention, and medical devices.

This came during his online participation in a scientific lecture entitled “The Egyptian Experience: Covid 19”, as part of the activities of the first day of the Tenth International Conference on Development and Environment in the Arab World, organized by the university over a period of three days.

The lecture was attended by Dr. Tariq Al-Gammal, President of the University, Dr. Maha Ghanem, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development and President of the Conference, Dr. Shehata Gharib, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Minshawi, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, and Dean Staff Harb Ihab Mabrouk Assistant Commander of the Southern Military Region for Crisis Management, Dr. Hussein Abaza, Senior Advisor to the Minister of Environment for Sustainable Development Affairs, representing Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, and Engineer Nabil Al-Tibi, Assistant Secretary for Assiut Governorate, representing Major General Essam Saad, Governor of Assiut, and Dr. Thabet Abdel Moneim, Director of the Center for Environmental Studies and Research and Secretary General The conference, Dr. Muhammad Abu al-Qasim, the conference’s rapporteur, along with a group of deans and agents of different colleges and members of the Supreme Council for Community Service and Environmental Development, as well as with the participation of a distinguished elite of professors, specialists and researchers interested in environmental, health and community affairs from all Egyptian, Arab and foreign universities and research centers, whether in attendance. The President of the Republic’s Advisor for Health and Prevention Affairs reviewed the stages of the Egyptian experience in confronting the Corona virus, which began with allocating Al-Nujaila Hospital as the first isolation hospital to receive Egyptian children returning from China, and then continued efforts to equip all chest and fever hospitals throughout the republic, in addition to following a distinguished treatment protocol that includes all Medicines and precautionary measures to treat infected patients, whether inside hospitals or in home isolation, and provide a direct transport network for patients to transfer them from their home isolation places to isolation hospitals if necessary, pointing out that this experience illustrated the experience and medical competence of Egyptian doctors in dealing with the virus and identifying it Symptoms and CT scan, especially in some cases that did not do the testPCR.

During the lecture, Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din praised the capacity of Assiut University in its university hospitals, which have allocated them to isolation and its medical cadres, especially the doctors of the chest department, headed by Dr. Jamal Rabie Agamy, head of the department in good crisis management, as well as their keenness to provide medical support with medical equipment, supplies and human cadres to patients Corona in the isolation hospital in Esna and Abu Tig, in addition to providing an awareness program for young doctors to direct them to properly deal with difficult cases and determine the extent and percentage of their need for artificial respirators.

At the conclusion of his lecture, Dr. Muhammad Awad Tajuddin appealed to everyone to continue with precautionary and preventive measures, social distancing, the use of disinfectants, and concern for personal and general hygiene, especially with the increase in cases of infection again at that time, which represents a bell to the danger again, warning of the danger of the virus and its ability to Spread rapidly, as one infected person can transmit the infection to more than 4 people, in addition to extending the incubation period for more than 14 days, which is very dangerous, wishing safety for all, forgiveness and mercy for the martyrs of the doctors who sacrificed their lives in the service of others and to all the martyrs of the virus from Egypt And the world.
