Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health Affairs, confirmed that epidemic cases in Egypt are decreasing during this period, explaining the continued presence of infection, which necessitates following preventive measures to reduce the rates of infections among individuals.
He added during an intervention with the media, Dina Esmat, in the “Today” program, which is broadcast on the channel dmc: “The wave was high, but there is a decline in injuries. As for cases that need hospitals or artificial respiration, their numbers have decreased, taking into account that intensive care rooms are available, and respirators are available, and as long as there is a decline, the situation is not concerned.”
And the President’s Health Adviser continued: “The crisis is that infection in that disease may take 14 days, and there are cases that show symptoms after a very few days, and we have passed the peak of the second wave.”
