President Rumen Radev
–
President Rumen Radev used the presence of journalists to criticize the government, issue harsh warnings and threaten a crisis.
The reporters came for the beginning of his initiative “Let’s plant a tree, revive the Bulgarian forest” in the Training and Experimental Forestry “Petrohan” in the village of Barzia. However, it seems that some were warned that there would be political speeches because the televisions were ready for live broadcasts.
The speeches of the head of state were broadcast live, but they never understood how important it is for Bulgarians to plant a tree. On some of the televisions, the initiative was not mentioned at all.
Regarding the Republic of Northern Macedonia, I expect the government to adhere to the declaration of the National Assembly, the consensus reached by the National Security Advisory Council and the will of the Bulgarians. .
Any deviation of the government from the Bulgarian national interests
will cause a political crisis
in us, Radev warned.
“I want to call on the prime minister’s foreign policy advisers not to classify Macedonian Bulgarians as minorities. This is not true, could catalyze serious problems in our bilateral relations and blow up the whole process of European integration in northern Macedonia,” he said.
There was also a hint of the prime minister’s behavior towards Mitrofanova.
The head of state commented on the diplomatic scandals with Russia, saying that Eleonora Mitrofanova’s behavior has long exceeded the permissible norms of diplomatic activity.
“But all those who are calling for its expulsion need to answer some questions. Will it be safer to evacuate our sailors from the danger zones? What are the prospects and alternatives for energy supply in the short and medium term? So I want to addressed all diplomatic representatives of foreign countries and called on them to perform their duties within the scope of their powers, “the President added.
Radev said that according to the law on the National Security Service, the initiative for appointment and dismissal belongs to the president, not the government. In general
the request made to me and its motives are superficial and untenable,
Radev said in connection with the request of the Council of Ministers to release the head of the service. He said attempts to politicize the services were not in the interests of security.
However, the president described his relationship with Prime Minister Kiril Petkov as normal and constructive.
Radev does not comment on the scandal surrounding the two candidates for governor of the BNB.
