The TVN station belongs to the Discovery media group, which – as stated on the station’s website – from September this year. introduces a new organizational structure in the EMEA region covering 140 markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The restructuring aims to introduce a simpler and more effective structure that will enable faster response to the changing needs of viewers, especially in the dynamically developing VOD market, the statement reads.
The communication goes on to say that “consolidation within macroregions will enable a much more efficient flow of information within Discovery EMEA”. “The regions of Great Britain and Scandinavia, among others, will be connected, the German-speaking countries will be managed together with the Benelux countries, and France will be managed together with Spain and Portugal. A new position will be created that will combine the management of a pan-European channel team with the management of the markets of Central Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Africa. Poland will be managed as an independent market, ”we read.
Discovery explains that it is due to the organizational changes that “several heads of the current regions will leave,” including Piotr Korycki, President of TVN SA
