On Thursday, US President Joe Biden signed into law a federal budget bill totaling $1.7 trillion, including $45 trillion in aid to Ukraine.
Biden, who is on vacation in the US Virgin Islands, posted a photo of himself on Twitter signing the text relating to the financing of the work of the US federal state – security forces, diplomacy, armed forces and economic policy – until September 2023.
Biden said the bill would invest in medical research, safety, health care for veterans, relief after natural disasters and programs to combat violence against women, and added that it also includes essential aid for Ukraine.
