Onet announced on Tuesday that Bogdan Skwarka, director of the Public Administration Department of the Supreme Audit Office, in mid-June wrote a letter to the Vice President of the Chamber Tadeusz Dziuba – a member of Law and Justice in 2011-2019 and the head of the local authorities.

Greaves accused him of tries to manipulate the results of the audit regarding the activities of PiS MEP Beata Kempa, as the minister for humanitarian aid in 2017-2019. Onet recalled that “from the beginning, Beata Kempa’s activity was controversial.” “On the first trip to Jordan she flew by a government plane, which cost about PLN 300,000. Then she was involved in the operation of completing schoolbags for children from Syrian Aleppo, some of whom probably never arrived,” journalists wrote.

The President of the Supreme Audit Office shall notify the prosecutor’s office about his deputy
Marian Banaś, head of the chamber, reacted to Dziuba’s actions. The Supreme Audit Office confirmed that Banaś “sent a notification to the prosecutor’s office about the suspicion of committing a crime under Art. 231 of the Penal Code by Vice President Tadeusz Dziuba.” It was added that the president of the Supreme Audit Office applied to the Marshal of the Sejm for his dismissal. Article 231 of the Criminal Code refers to the exceeding of powers or failure of a public official’s duties.
