The president of the Supreme Assembly of the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan, Vasif Talibov, has met with a delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of National Defense of Turkey, Muhsin Dere, according to AZERTAC, alleging to the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.
Vasif Talibov highlighted the military cooperation between the countries. Highlighting the importance of the work carried out in the field of army construction and military exercises carried out between the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan and Turkey. Vasif Talibov said defense security in Nakhchivan was guaranteed. He also highlighted Turkey’s political support during the Second Karabakh War.
The president of the Supreme Assembly said that the relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, founded by the national leader Heydar Aliyev and Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, were successfully continued by the Presidents and the strategic partnership is at a high level. Mr. Talibov highlighted the importance of the Kars Agreement and the Shusha Declaration.
Turkish Deputy Defense Minister Muhsin Dere conveyed his congratulations on the historic victory in the Patriotic War and paid tribute to the memory of the martyrs. He highlighted the importance of the work carried out in the field of army construction as part of the relations between the countries and mentioned the importance of the strategic and geographical position of the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan.
The parties exchanged views on new prospects for cooperation.
