The President of the Storting would not have been exposed by his own investigation

President of the Storting Eva Kristin Hansen (Labor Party) has been involved in deciding that it is the regulations, and not individual cases, that are to be reviewed. Several parties demand that the mandate be changed.

Storting President Eva Kristin Hansen (Labor Party) is ultimately responsible for cleaning up the Storting’s commuter housing mess.

This autumn, the Storting’s management announced a full review of the regulations for commuter housing. It happened after Aftenposten’s many revelations about the politicians’ parliamentary apartments.

One week ago, the final mandate for the external committee to review the case was adopted by the Storting’s presidency. Here it is stated that it is the regulations to be reviewed.

As President of the Storting, Eva Kristin Hansen (Labor Party) is supremely responsible for the mandate. This week she was revealed herself. Adresseavisen revealed that Hansen received free housing from the Storting for three years, even though she owned a house near Oslo.

This case would not have been uncovered by the Storting’s committee. The mandate does not say anything about individual cases being checked. Several parties are reacting to this.
