Jenaro Villamilpresident of the Public Broadcasting System of the Mexican State (SPR), pointed out that while the president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador was recovering from Covid-19faced a “wave of infamies, lies, speculation, true tares and true poison, a time of vultures.”

The head of the SPR described as “human slop” those who speculated on the health of President López Obrador because they sought a perception of uncertainty and even wished for his death. He also mentioned a hate campaign on social media amid the “cautiousness” of the media.

Villamil mentioned the journalist Sergio Sarmientowho in Televisa’s Tercer Grado program declared that given the lack of information on the health of the head of the Executive, it was necessary to speculate.
