The President of the Czech Republic: Transsexuals are disgusting

Czech President Milos Zeman has said on a Hungarian law banning the distribution of materials related to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) schools that he considers transgender people to be “disgusting”, Reuters reported.

“If you undergo gender reassignment surgery, you are essentially committing a crime of self-harm,” Zeman said in an interview with CNN Prima.

“Every operation is a risk and these transgender people are disgusting to me,” he said when asked about a law passed this month in Hungary that bans the distribution of content in schools that is considered to promote homosexuality and gender reassignment.

The law has been heavily criticized by opposition parties in Hungary, human rights organizations and many European Union leaders. At a summit last week, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte called on Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to respect the rights of people in the LGBT community or to leave the EU.

More than half of EU member states oppose Hungarian law, but the Czech Republic has so far failed to do so.

Zeman said the criticism of the law constituted interference in the country’s internal affairs.

“Victor Orbán says he is not against homosexuals, but that he is against manipulating not only parents but also children in sex education,” the Czech president said.

“I see no reason to disagree with him because I am completely annoyed by the suffragettes, the” Me too “movement and the Prague Pride,” he said.
