The President of Poland said that he would meet with Vladimir Zelensky “face to face, definitely not in front of cameras.”
Polish President Andrzej Duda said he would meet with his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky “like two friends talking to each other.”
Duda said this when commenting on the cancellation of the meeting with Zelensky in the United States, reports TVN24.
Journalists asked Andrzej Duda whether Vladimir Zelensky is still his friend.
“Of course,” he replied. When asked if he still wants to talk with the President of Ukraine, Duda replied: “When the opportunity arises, I will definitely talk to him, but definitely not in front of the cameras. Only, as we have said many times, we will talk face to face – eyes, how two friends talk to each other who want to solve different difficult situations.”
At the same time, the Polish president admitted that he considers Zelensky’s words that “some in Europe are undermining solidarity and creating political theater, making a thriller out of grain,” unfair.
“At that moment I was annoyed, because I think that what he says is very unfair. But the more time passes, the more these emotions fade away, because I have them, like every other person,” said He.
Earlier, Andrzej Duda explained the words of the Prime Minister of Poland, who on Wednesday, September 20, said that Warsaw was no longer transferring weapons to Ukraine.
Let us recall that in his speech at the UN General Assembly, Zelensky accused some European partners of “acting together with Russia and playing in ‘political theater.’” According to Zelensky, they are making a thriller on the issue of grain.
In turn, Polish President Andrzej Duda compared Ukraine to a drowning man and can be pulled to the depths and called for gratitude.
