The President of the Republic of Niger, Mohamed Bazoum is expected Tuesday evening Brazzaville, capital of the Republic of Congo for a working visit, Xinhua learned Monday from the Congolese presidency.
President Bazoum, who will arrive at 5 p.m. (16 GMT) on Tuesday, will meet on Wednesday with his Congolese counterpart, Denis Sassou Nguesso. In addition to bilateral cooperation, the two presidents will discuss security and peace issues in Africa.
The Republic of Congo and the Republic of Niger have established diplomatic relations since 1960.
President Bazoum will return to his country next Wednesday at 3 p.m. (2 p.m. GMT). This trip will be his second visit to the Republic of Congo after the one made in 2021, on the occasion of the inauguration of President Sassou Nguesso.
