Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani warned about possible attack on her homelandas Wagner mercenaries, in cooperation with Serbian paramilitaries, smuggle unmarked weapons and military uniforms into Kosovo.
This was stated by the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, in an interview with the Telegraph.
Osmani stated that the covert operation was intended to prepare the ground for a possible Serbian hybrid attack for seizing the territory of Kosovo.
“They carry weapons and uniforms, but they are not officially part of the Serbian army. Serbia wants to achieve its goals without calling it a military operation,” Osmani said.
According to her, Serbia’s goal is to prepare the situation for possible annexationbut not through a traditional military operation, but through a hybrid attack.
Kosovo has accepted the EU peace plan, but with reservations
The Association of Serbian Municipalities still with an unclear perspective
Serbia’s likely preparations have parallels with Russia’s annexation of Crimea in 2014, when Russian soldiers in insignia-free uniforms called “little green men” prepared the soil for the conquest of the peninsula.
“If you look at what Putin did in 2014, it’s a complete copy, the same agenda. First he used the Russians who lived there, then he organized all kinds of false flag operations, and then he sent these paramilitary groups,” says Osmani.
Kosovo’s president said Belgrade continues to stoke tensions in the region in cooperation with Russia’s Wagner group, which recently began posting ads recruiting Serbian recruits for the war in Ukraine.
“There is clear evidence that Serbian paramilitary groups planned and organized this with the Wagner group. How many of them were on the border or inside the territory of Kosovo is still being investigated,” she added.
We recall that the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, stated that he would agree to the implementation of the plan to normalize relations with Serbia, prepared by the European Union.
