The president of ACAPS meets with the president of EIOPA

The President of the Insurance and Social Security Control Authority (ACAPS), Mr. Abderrahim Chaffai met, on April 19 in Casablanca, with Ms. Petra Hielkema, President of the European Insurance and Pensions Authority professionals (EIOPA).

This meeting was an opportunity for the two leaders to discuss the different areas of cooperation between the two institutions and to review several issues of common interest, including sustainable insurance, protection gaps and risk modeling.

In this regard, Mr. Chaffai and Ms. Hielkema expressed their common desire to deepen discussions around these issues, to strengthen partnership ties, to encourage the exchange of expertise and good practices as well as to promote the development and application of international standards with a view to supporting the development of the insurance and social security sectors, while protecting policyholders, affiliates and beneficiaries of rights.

It should be noted that this meeting is part of the proactive policy of ACAPS in terms of international cooperation aimed at encouraging the exchange of experiences, particularly with regard to the development and control of the two sectors supervised by the Authority.
