In Sliven, President Radev visited the Hadji Dimitar House-Museum on the occasion of 153 years since the feat of the detachment of Hadji Dimitar and Stefan Karadja. He inspected the permanent exhibition and laid flowers in front of the monument to the mother of Duke Hadji Marinka Assenova.
“There are more and more active people in our country who want to change Bulgaria for the better – towards fairer, more transparent relations between the state and business, between the state and society and are ready to demand more from politicians,” the president added. .
Radev was visiting the city, accompanied by his wife Desislava Radeva.
“Education must be a strategic national priority,” the president stressed during the meeting. According to him, it is necessary to consider options for providing more opportunities for high school graduates to continue their vocational training in order to achieve successful realization. “The staff shortage for business can be overcome precisely with better and tailored to the needs of business education, taking into account the need to provide attractive remuneration,” said the head of state.
During their conversation with the President, farmers pointed out that European subsidies in agriculture in our country are not distributed fairly and evenly.
The head of state pointed out that the goal of subsidies to make small producers more competitive has not been met and has even become a factor in exacerbating inequalities in the sector.
“The state should guarantee a transparent and predictable business environment,” Rumen Radev added.
According to him, our country will be more successful in attracting foreign investment, which will contribute to raising living standards in our country.
During the meeting, business representatives also expressed hope that the 46th National Assembly will end the practice of passing lobbying legislation and favoring individual companies at the expense of others.

According to Borissov, it is best for GERB to keep the caretaker government, as it “will sink Rumen Radev”.
