President Donald Trump cast his vote this Saturday morning in West Palm Beach, Florida, then told reporters, “I voted for a guy named Trump.”
The president used to vote in New York, but changed his residence to Florida last year.
There were several hundred supporters gathered with flags and posters chanting “four more years” outside the library where the president voted.
The president wore a mask while voting, but removed it when he approached reporters. He called it “a very sure vote. Much safer than when you send a ballot, I can assure you. “
Democrat Joe Biden has yet to vote and is likely to vote in person in Delaware on Election Day, Nov. 3. Delaware does not offer early voting in person like Florida.
Trump said at a rally in Florida on Friday that he likes being able to vote in person. “I’m old-fashioned, I guess,” he said.
The president has a busy Saturday, with campaign events scheduled in North Carolina, Ohio and Wisconsin.
Surveys are not always correct. In 2016 Hillary Clinton was winning in the polls on Election Day and ended up losing the contest.
