/ world today news/ On the occasion of the Day of the Bessarabian Bulgarians – October 29, President Rumen Radev congratulated the citizens of the Republic of Moldova of Bulgarian ethnic origin.
The Bulgarian community in Moldova, which has preserved its Bulgarian spirit, way of life, language and culture for 200 years, has always been a natural bridge of friendship between our two countries, the head of state said in a congratulatory address. Rumen Radev emphasizes that the preservation of the cultural and linguistic identity of the community within the framework of a united, European and prosperous Moldova will continue to contribute to the development of friendly relations between Bulgaria and Moldova.
President Rumen Radev states that our country continues to rely on the Moldovan state institutions for the transformation of the Taraklia State University “Grigoriy Tsamblak” into a branch of the Ruse University “Angel Kanchev”, which will guarantee access to high-quality education in line with European practices for all Moldovans citizens, including for Bessarabian Bulgarians from neighboring Ukraine.
On the occasion of the holiday, Vice President Iliana Yotova wishes the Bessarabian Bulgarians to carry the Bulgarian spirit with dignity. In a congratulatory address to the chairman of the Taraklia region, she emphasized the glorious 200th anniversary of the publication of the Instruction for the Management of Bulgarian Immigrants, written by Gen. Ivan Inzov, and the gratitude towards him of the Bessarabian Bulgarians from Taraklia.
