Over 1,800 farmers attended the forums held in 8 regional cities
Over 1,800 farmers participated in training campaign of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food (MZH) for the requirements for interventions from the Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas for the period 2023-2027, related to payment of area and animals. The training held today in Sofia was attended by experts from the Ministry of Agriculture, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and the National Agricultural Advisory Service.
“This is the last meeting of the campaign in which we covered all areas to familiarize farmers with the requirements and the inspections being carried out,” said the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food, Yanislav Yanchev.
During the discussion, the experts emphasized that the set of rules for farmers or the so-called preconditions must be respected in order to receive the full amount of support under the Strategic Plan. They recalled the importance of keeping accurate farm activity logs.
Farmers were familiarized with the Statutory Requirements (LSR), the eco-schemes and the changes introduced in 2024 to the standards for maintaining the land in good agricultural and ecological condition.
During the training, important deadlines for applying for direct payments for Campaign 2024, the Area Monitoring System, the new functionalities in the Electronic Services System (ESS) of the DFZ and the upcoming admissions until the end of the year under the Strategic Plan were presented.

From September 17 to 30, trainings were held for farmers in the regional cities of Yambol, Plovdiv, Blagoevgrad, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Pleven, Montana and Sofia.
