The premiere of Nothing Phone (1) was thwarted by Indian embarrassment. The YouTuber laughed at the company

Nothing Phone (1) he finally showed himself in all his glory a few days ago. However, the impression of an interestingly equipped and unique-looking device is clouded by controversies regarding the Indian market. The manufacturer failed to deliver test samples to journalists there in time (which, by the way, also applies to other regions). And someone didn’t want to just wave their hand over it.

Indian YouTuber Prasadtechintelugu with almost 3 million subscribers decided to laugh at Nothing for the insufficient preparation of test pieces. He, like many of his other colleagues, did not receive his sample. But since he was counting on him, he decided to make a video after all. With biting content.

In front of the camera, he brought a large box with the inscription “NOTHING” to imitate the original packaging of a new smartphone. Instead, however, he took out of the box only a piece of paper with an ironic message: “Hi Prasad, this facility is not for South Indian residents. Thank you.”

The author of the joke probably did not expect that the video would become a viral sensation in just a few hours thanks to the #DearNothing hashtag. Since not everyone understood the sarcasm in the video, Prasadtechintelugu pulled it from his channel and posted it instead explanation.

In the meantime, however he responded Nothing’s regional director for India, Manu Sharma, who clearly declared that the company expects test samples for a large number of print and online media, bloggers and YouTubers. However, he adds in one breath that the pieces will be distributed gradually. Some representatives of the media are said to already have their pieces. Unfortunately for Nothing, it doesn’t change the fact that he underestimated the preparations. As critics claim, the manufacturer should guarantee journalists the opportunity to test the product even before it goes on sale, which will happen on July 16.
