The Prefect of Marne has decided to ban the distribution of amplified music on public roads. This ban, which extends to the entire department, takes effect from this day until February 28, 2021. It clearly targets the march of freedoms, scheduled for this Saturday February 6 in Reims, since the Prefect justifies his decision “in view of the events which occurred in Reims last weekend, in particular the intrusion of means of broadcasting amplified music within processions which had the effect of creating a gathering of several hundred people”. This ban will be regularly reviewed in the light of changes in the health situation.
