The suspension of Kankan‘s chief officer, Kandia Mara police chief, was lifted on Friday by order of the Minister of Territorial Administration and Distribution, Ibrahima Kalil Condé.
Kandia Mara’s reinstatement is the actions following a recommendation made by the ministry’s disciplinary council.
As a reminder, the decision to ban Kandia Mara was made after his controversial statements, where he had established a link between the death of Dr. Mohamed Dioubaté in prison and the act of vandalism against the statue of Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya .
With the lifting of his ban, Kandia Mara officially resumes his duties as Kankan’s chief executive.
